Verbena officinalis (Verbena officinalis), sometimes called "Witches Herb" is a perennial plant of the Verbenaceae family. Called by the Gauls "Herb to all evils" or "Heals everything", verbena officinalis was recognized for its innumerable virtues. Today, it is mainly used for its digestive properties in the form of herbal tea.

Its culture is easy and the sowing is done in the spring between March and April in the heat. Transplant the young plants to a sunny position in well-drained soil around mid-May. It is a plant that is also grown in pots on a balcony or terrace. The plant is hardy down to about -5°C, however if allowed to go to seed, it reseeds itself from year to year.
